Ecolodge da Barra

Ecolodge da Barra occupies a uniquely productive position on the Amazon's hydrographic map: anchored precisely where the Teles Pires and Juruena rivers converge to form the Tapajós, at the triple border of Amazonas, Pará, and Mato Grosso. This confluence hosts over 20 target species — including peacock bass, redtail catfish, goliath catfish, bicuda, jaú, aruana, and cachorra — in waters that receive relatively light fishing pressure given the remote access. The only way in is by charter flight from Manaus, giving the lodge a level of seclusion rarely found in commercially operated Amazon destinations.

The floating structure pairs international comfort with an American lodge aesthetic: 12 air-conditioned suites with private bathrooms, pressurized hot showers, and river-view balconies. Dining is fully all-inclusive with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served on board, and the American bar provides open bar service with premium beers, imported spirits, and handcrafted cocktails. Starlink Wi-Fi and laundry service are included.

Fishing is organized in pairs, with a dedicated boat per two anglers — equipped with an electric trolling motor, a 50hp outboard, unlimited fuel, and live bait. Experienced local guides rotate access points daily, working rivers, lakes, and rarely fished igarapés in the confluence area to maximize catch rates across six full fishing days. An on-site tackle shop stocks rods, reels, and accessories available for purchase or rental.

The 2026 standard package covers 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday), with one Manaus hotel night and a charter flight to the lodge both included in the package price. The season runs from May through September, timed to the Tapajós's most productive hydrological window. Capacity is 6 to 28 anglers, always in pairs.
